ANNA PUIG | Viola course

The violist Anna Puig completed her studies in Cervera and Barcelona with Professor Paul Cortese, and later moved to the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin in 2002, where she continued her training with Walter Küssner initially and then with Tabea Zimmermann.

Since 2009, she has been a member of the prestigious Mahler Chamber Orchestra founded by Claudio Abbado, and solo violist of the Camerata Bern and the Camerata 432, with which she has maintained intense orchestral activity ever since, including prestigious formations such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra Mozart, the Maggio Fiorentino Musicale, the BandArt ensemble under the direction of Gordan Nikolic, as well as all the major Spanish orchestras that have invited her as a soloist.

In 2014, she founded the renowned Dalia Quartet, one of the most prominent groups in our country's chamber music scene, where she explores the richness and intimacy inherent in the world of chamber music. Highly interested in pedagogy, she conducts various masterclasses at conservatories and foundations throughout Spain, and is regularly invited as a teacher by youth orchestras, both domestically and abroad. Similarly, she actively participates in associations and organizations that develop social projects with children at risk of social exclusion.
