EUSEBIO SÀEZ | Trombone course

Eusebio Sàez. Born in Buñol (Valencia) in 1986. He began his musical studies at the age of eight at the "L'Artística de Bunyol" Musical Society, under the guidance of Luis Gómez. He later studied at the "José Iturbi" Conservatory in Valencia, where he completed his middle degree with professor Carlos Gil, obtaining the End of Middle Grade Honor Mention in Trombone and the Extraordinary End of Middle Grade Prize in Chamber Music.

He then entered the Superior School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC), where he obtained his degree under the guidance of professors Ricardo Casero, soloist of the Orchestra of the Palau de les Arts "Reina Sofia" in Valencia, Raúl García, bass trombone of the Symphony Orchestra of Barcelona and National of Catalonia (OBC), and Daniel Perpinyà, soloist of the Symphony Orchestra of Bilbao (BOS), graduating with Honors.

He has participated in courses and masterclasses for trombonists, among which are Joseph Alessi, soloist of the New York Philharmonic, Christian Lindberg, international soloist, Jörgen van Rijen, soloist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Ben van Dick, bass trombone of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Stephan Schultz, bass trombone of the Berliner Philharmoniker...

He has collaborated with numerous orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Palau de les Arts "Reina Sofia" in Valencia, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (GMJO), the Young National Orchestra of Spain (JONDE), the Young National Orchestra of Catalonia (JONC), the National Chamber Orchestra of Andorra (ONCA), the Orchestra of the City of Granada (OCG), the Symphony Orchestra of Bilbao (BOS), the Valencia Orchestra, the Cadaqués Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, among others.

He has won prizes in various competitions: first prize in the brass category at the VII "Ciutat de Xàtiva" Young Interpreters Competition, first prize in the brass category at the XIV "Ruperto Chapí" Competition in Villena, and second prize in the 71st Call of the Permanent Competition of Young Musicians of Spain in the brass category. During the 2006/07 season, he obtained the position of second trombone in the Symphony Orchestra of Barcelona and National of Catalonia. In November 2008, he obtained the position of second trombone in the Symphony Orchestra of Navarra, and since 2009, he has been the solo trombone of the Symphony Orchestra of Barcelona and National of Catalonia.

In the pedagogical field, he has been a professor at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC) in the specialty of trombone in the 2010/11 academic year, and since the 2014/15 academic year, he has been a professor at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Aragon (CSMA).
